Our New Invite-Only Shopping Destination For Cult Design Items

Several years ago, invite-only shopping sounded like something that involved a Saks card or a personal driver, but now we sign in and e-browse with nary a thought. So the idea behind NYC-based Fab.com, another must-bookmark site that is entering the fray, isn't totally unfamiliar: good deals, curated goods, timed sales. What is different are the items themselves. Indeed, the aesthetically inclined can log in to Fab starting today to find, well, finds (at up to 70% off!) that take design and materials into consideration—those are the only prerequisites. The range of the site's scope is huge, and will include items from Kid Robot, The Museum of Art and Design, and pop posters from Milton Glaser. What you won't find is mass marketed, easily located stuff; the Fab.com team has promised to search out hard-to-locate, bespoke goods and experiences and use the service as a platform. So, think limited-run tableware from emerging designers or hard-to-find collaborations from artists, all on a clean, crisp layout. To top it off, Fab has an "inspiration" section which allows you to upload your own "mood boards", or peep those made by design professionals tapped by Fab to share their own inner workings. Best part, of course, is that you won't be fighting over sizes, either.
R29 has you covered—we've got a link to get your invite expedited. Click here and sign up!
