Fashion plate Julia Frakes has become a Fashion Week fixture, and her kooky, off-the-wall outfits are ones that we consistently seek out for inspiration each season. We caught up with the fashion writer and NEXT model to see what's she's planning for this Fashion Week.
Funniest FW anecdote?
"Being whisked off by Stella McCartney and her husband to her store opening in Paris... whilst in pajamas."
Advice to staying sane?
"Frequent phone calls home to family out of town! With the inevitable frenzied schedule, draining hours and high pressure—along with the occasional run-in with a manic ego or two—everyone needs a routine reality-check unaffected by the NYFW bubble."
Your haunt this FW (bar, restaurant, library, etc)
"The Ninth Street Espresso and One Lucky Duck outposts in Chelsea Market just a stone's throw away from Milk Studios (across the street)."
Any overarching logic to your outfit planning? Do you go with a theme or kind of wing it day to day?
"I am genuinely all about winging outfits on a whim; I suppose I lack both the foresight and time to plan in advance, although I envy those who do!"
What you're wearing in the photo
"Alexander Wang resort 2011 jacquard cardigan and pants, Deyrolle pour Opening Ceremony long sleeve cat tee, Topshop socks, Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony mary janes, Pamela Love jewelry."
