Our calendars may be making their way toward the wintry seasons, but that won’t keep us from dreaming of shimmying off a great pair of cutoffs in the land of 100 degrees and palm trees. That being said, it would be a total understatement to say that we were merely stoked to find out the following: Onia (that rather dapper men's swimwear line) has collabed with Free People (a rather serious favorite of ours).
The subsequent line of shorts will include a femme twist on the signature men’s swim trunks Onia has perfected. The brand's oceanic name sake, The Calder Beach Short, has us seeing sand and surf...and maybe some sort of romantic bonfire, afterward. The shorts will be featured in an orange-and-teal striped pattern, a solid papaya, and lovely florals. These summery bottoms will retail between $98 and $128 and will hit FreePeople.com this December.
This may be Onia’s first venture into the land of womenswear, but these adorable designs look right up our alley. Carl Cunow, R29 pal and designer of the Onia brand, said that with the right retailer, he would even be open to creating a line of bikinis. Which means the next time we score some shorts for our dude pals, we can hook ourselves up, too. (WWD)
