Léan and I were both living in awesome Cape Town when he asked me to marry him. Because we both love the Cape so much (especially the beautiful Franschhoek winelands), we knew we wanted to get married there. We found our dream venue at Babylonstoren.

We wanted a personal wedding to share with our closest friends and family and this was just that — an amazing weekend of celebration, our own love festival!

We kept the decor true to the nature of the environment and sourced all our flowers and food from Babylonstoren's gardens!

We involved our families as much as we could (especially our siblings, who had a big hand in the music). It was just as we wanted it. So real, natural, and elegant. And, to put the cherry on top — we were blessed out of our shoes with the most beautiful weather that made it possible to set up the dance floor outside on the grass under a few naked bulbs strung between two huge oak trees! Perfection.
