Peek-A-Boo: Pop-Up PR Firm Materializes

pr0916.jpgPop-up stores always seem to be, well, popping up. Just this month, we've already had the wildly popular ColletteXGap and Bullseye Bodegas showing up around town. Now it seems the ever-growing fad has reached the offices of PR firm Porter Novelli, who recently launched Jack&Bill, a temporary division of the company manned by its youngest employees. Focusing on just five selected clients—all receiving services free of charge—the pop-up firm is dedicated to exposing and supporting new talent in the fashion industry. Among the lucky designers are duo AIRA (more on them later) and jewelry lines Dannijo and Badgley/Sneed Designs (pictured). Perhaps a trend in the making—or at least a new take on an old industry—micro agencies like these may make it that much easier to sniff out those little gems missed by the bigger fish—little gems like you? Get that portfolio together. (NY Times)
