Pat The Bunny: Rabbit on the Run's Mini Collection for Fall

Last spring, Rabbit on the Run's collection of Navajo-inspired graphic-art tunics and mustache print silk blouses had us swooning. And let's not forget those patterned totes and precious wood cutout necklaces New York boutiques are still hawking. Now we have a new reason to fall in love with Julie Thevenot's French-bred line—her mini-collection of tees for fall.
A move from France to New York, as well as the absence of production facilities, made the smaller collection a necessity, says Thevenot. But with designs like these, we aren't complaining. Made of soft organic cotton and cozy fleece, the pieces are more comfy versions of Thevenot's hand-printed designs. The slouchy tops still retain a sense of stylishness, however, and are perfect for fall, coated in muted colors and shiny foils. Designing from an artist's perspective (she graduated from Arts Decoratifs in Paris, don't you know), Thevenot keeps the tops simple in shape and color to contrast her bold graphic prints. If you can't wait for fall to come around, visit www.pixiemarket.com and The Reed Space for a taste of Thevenot's current designs. But with these perfectly balanced tops popping up in stores ever-so-soon, any good hunter would remind you that patience is a virtue.
Rabbit on the Run's fall collection will be available at Pixie Market, 100 Stanton Street, New York, 212-253-0953 and 7950 West Third Street, Los Angeles 323-782-1718; www.pixiemarket.com. For more information, visit www.rabbitontherun.com.
