House Proud: Alex & Eli Fashion a New Look That's So-fa Chic!
When the new line by Alex & Eli came across our desks yesterday, we were certainly taken by all the beigy Jil Sander'esque nipped suits and loungey tank tops. But the look that really sparked a pow-wow around the computer screen was one blazer cut from this really decadent-looking fabric. The pattern reminded us of brocade, baroque curtains, and amazing vintage Eames sofa fabric all rolled into one. This might not sound exactly like a compliment but, oh! It is! The shrunken proportion is just right, and paired with the matching cropped pants, the whole look has a kind of French jester feel. We're into it…Alex & Eli…consider yourselves being watched!
