Blue Jean Baby Queen: Down Under Denim from Thousand Reasons

"When people pick up a pair of our jeans, we want them to feel like they have just been given Einstein as a lab partner or Lassie as a pet," reads the website for Thousand Reasons, and that's reason enough for us to give this new Aussie denim and apparel line a tryout in our closet. Of course, the fact that designers Ben Turner and Daniel Lindsay—who will be bringing their wares to NYC's Capsule in January, we hear—cut their teeth at Ksubi and Milk and Honey doesn't hurt either. Nor does the fact that their spring/summer '09 men's and women's apparel collection embodies a certain grungy, Erin-Wasson-lite aesthetic of skate park-ready graphic tees and painted-on jeans, an oversized hooded denim coat, and a fierce black button-down tunic worn over inky, artfully tarnished black-on-black skinny jeans. We could go on, but really, how many more reasons do you need to check this stuff out already?
