Why You Should Ombré Your Brows

We've talked endlessly about ombré hair, nails, lips — whatever you've got, we want to ombré it. That being said, we're not sure why we've never considered our eyebrows in the list of things to add this gradient effect to. But, when we watched James Vincent create an ombré brow on our model for a recent Anti-Valentine's Day photo shoot, we knew we were destined to start rocking it. Immediately.
Just to clarify, when we use ombré in the context of eyebrows, there's definitely not as much of a contrast as in an ombré hairstyle. Rather, it involves different hues of brown and creates a very subtle depth of color. So, what does it take to get this fabulous look? James Vincent pulls out all the stops to get it, using a brow pen by Anastasia Beverly Hills in both Light and Deep, and a brow gel from Serenity Scott.

"I use the brow pen to draw in individual hairs," he says, "But, you can also use a liquid liner or a gel liner for the same effect." Use the darker color in the center of your brows and the lighter one towards the ends. Then, comb through with the gel — pick a color that matches your natural shade.
The final result is a bold brow without the heaviness of a solid line. It's an extremely flattering statement and a subtle way to keep the ombré dream alive.
