It’s probably safe to say R29 staffers spend more time at their desks than in their beds. That sounds depressing, but we're kind of nuts about our jobs. Yet, even though we spend so much QT in front of our computers, our work stations are practical and visually vanilla (apart from the occasional zany fashion-show invite and bright lipstick tube). Maintaining a “decorated” desk? Not always top of the list.
But, good desk design should be. A clean and energetic space makes for a more productive (and happier) day all around. So, we decided to tackle one staffer's tiny-space dilemma — and gave our senior content editor, Laura Norkin, a mini-makeover. After a little purging and a few new smart additions, we created an environment that feels put-together and inspiring, even when she's logging long hours. Ahead, all the tips for your own Zen home away from home.
