Screaming Females, Waxahatchee, Tenement, Aye Nako: Bowery Ballroom, September 16, $35
Tonight, an awesome lineup of badass female musicians in the form of Screaming Females, Waxahatchee, and Aye Nako take over Bowery Ballroom. (Yes, there are some dudes sprinkled in the mix as well.) If fuzzed-out guitars make you tingle, this bill is can't-miss.

Monday, September 16, 7 p.m., Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey Street (between Bowery and Chrystie); 212-533-2111

Vampire Weekend, Solange, and Sky Ferreira: Barclays Center, September 20, $35
Headliners Vampire Weekend just released what may well be its best album yet with Modern Vampires of the City. Then there's Solange, whose last EP we still have on repeat, and Sky Ferreira's Night Time, My Time is at the top of our most-anticipated list. These are three buoyant pop acts of the highest order.

Friday, September 20, 8 p.m., Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Avenue (at Flatbush Avenue); Brooklyn; 212-359-6387.
