Where To Go Out At Night:
If fog machines and neon lights are not for you, the Hemingway-esque lounge at The Jane Hotel may be just the scene. Don’t worry — there’s no studying or creative writing involved (not that you would mind). On the contrary, you are literally free to dance on the couches, tables, and bar. Not to mention, the affordable drink prices may be just the thing to keep your free spirit soaring.
If this West Village joint gets too crowded, consider a taxi ride to Brooklyn’s Lavender Lake in Gowanus. Converted from a horse stable and boasting a rustic vibe, this indie bar serves cool cocktails infused with unconventional ingredients, like Earl Grey, and has plenty of good eats.
