A French Fete Right In The Middle Of Soho

Walking into Nicole Miller's store in Soho Thursday night was almost like being transported to Île-de-France. Pieces from the designer's spring collection lined the walls, tiers of macarons took over display cases, wines from Tiziano overfloweth, and selfies with #NMRevolution flooded our Instagram feeds — not that we're complaining. The mood was perfectly set, and we were feeling so, how do you say...Français? Jaunty bonjours, double air-kisses, and attempts at conversing in the enchanting Romance language ensued. Hey, a francophile can live the dream!
Along with our very own Willow Lindley and a slew of stylish New Yorkers, we were on hand to fete the designer's latest collection with French desserts, a braid bar by Woodley & Bunny, and a photo booth — over-the-top props included, of course.
We were lucky to catch the lady of the hour for a quick chat before she bid guests adieu. The inspiration behind her spring line? A mix of Parisian chic and downtown grit, the designer told us. The idea is to convey an "eternally young" aesthetic through the juxtaposition of sophistication and edginess. (You know, that kind of je ne sais quoi vibe that cool girls just own.)
Click ahead to see how we partied it up with Lindley, Miller, and beaucoup d'amis.
