Shop It NowAndy Samberg Speaks At Harvard, Leaves Us Less Than Inspired
If Andy Samberg were to speak at our college graduation, we'd be psyched. He's funny in a way that makes us think he's legitimately smart (despite some of those digital shorts), and that normally implies a certain level of speech-giving finesse.
However, the culmination of his efforts at Harvard's Class Day yesterday fell a little flat. Sure, there were laughs, but they felt a little too easy. He did his three standard impressions: Mark Zuckerberg, Mark Wahlberg, and Nicholas Cage. He poked fun at himself for not having gone to Harvard. He played a "This Is How We Do It" musical clip. And he bashed Yale and Dartmouth.
In his 22 minutes on stage though, the real advice only came at about 19:37, when he told grads: "make sure whatever it is you try is what you really want to do, because the only person who knows what that really is, is you." Aw and amen to that. But ending a college grad speech with a Dick In A Box joke? Not sure how we'd feel about that, with our parents in the audience. Watch the full-length speech below and tell us if you found it a little bit more inspiring than we did.

André Leon Talley Thinks Even Kim Kardashian Can't Ruin Fashion
This past weekend, we had the privilege of flying down to Savannah, to check out SCAD (the Savannah College of Art & Design). While we were there, we were able to attend one of the best student fashion shows we've ever seen (it ran the gamut from an entirely wearable neoprene collection to some Fiddler on the Roof-inspired menswear), tour the school's insane grounds (including some horseback riding), and check out the SCAD museum's beautiful exhibit dedicated to designer Ralph Rucci.
The highlight of the trip? Ahead of the fashion show, the school hosted an illuminating conversation with Vogue's André Leon Talley (an alum), Ralph Rucci, and Pulitzer Prize-winning fashion journalist, Robin Givhan. The three of them sat down for an hour for an intimate chat about the future of fashion, the role celebrities should play in the industry, and why "buzz" is so priceless, when it comes to making clothes. Ahead, the most memorable takeaways:
ALT, on the celeb-fashion relationship: "At one point, I thought the red carpet had almost killed fashion...but I actually think celebrities do a great deal for fashion. In fact, I can't think of anyone who can take away from fashion. Not even Kim Kardashian."
Rucci, chiming in about the realities of dressing celebs: "I do not not lend clothes out of elitism. But you have to ask, is there is stylist involved, before you send in racks of clothes."
And on the celebs he would (or wouldn't) love to dress: [I'd love to dress] "Tilda Swinton. There's substance there that allows the garment to be understood. But if you're dressing a Kardashian...well...I don't get this Kardashian thing. It's a moment."
Illuminating, no? Click through for some of our favorite looks from the fashion show, and share your thoughts on the great celebs-in-fashion debate, in the comments. Role Model: Karlie Kloss Raises Over $58,000 For AIDS
Adding to her list of accomplishments that would inspire anyone (or make them jealous, or both), Karlie Kloss raised over $58,000 for AIDS charities at Sunday's AIDS Walk New York. But really, what doesn't this model do? At just 19 (yep, you read that right), Kloss can already claim the titles ballerina, model, style icon, Olympian (just kidding), and, now, she can add philanthropist to the list (on top of being a normal teenager, that is). Marching with fashion BFF Jason Wu and wearing Juicy Couture activewear, Kloss led team Step Forward to charitable victory, with some help from Juicy in the form of a hefty donation. Along with 45,000 other participants, Karlie contributed to the $6,014,822 total raised for over 40 AIDS charities — talk about a model citizen!

Tour The Awe-Inspiring Apartment Of One Of NY's Most Stylish CEOs

We've given you the inside scoop on her enviable wardrobe and closet, and now, you can marvel at the entire Soho pad of Webster CEO, Laure Heriard Dubreuil. Laure and her fiancé, artist Aaron Young, are the subjects of the latest Lifestyle Mirror cover story. The fashionable couple is photographed cooking and lounging in their not-so-humble abode (we're talkin' 3,000 square foot of fabulousness!). And, as usual, the best part of the article (arguably) is the fact that (almost) everything featured in the pics is instantly shoppable. The site's editors have even found replicas of the stylish duo's one-of-a-kind furniture and art, so you can draw instant inspiration from one of NYC's (and Miami's!) most cutting-edge couples. Check out the story to read about what inspires these two, and to ogle all the Labels, with a capital "L."
Chloë Sevigny Feels Unattractive In Her Transexual Assassin Costume
In her latest off-the-beaten-track role, Chloë Sevigny plays a pre-op transsexual contract assassin in new TV show Hit & Miss. And, while we all know she's used to getting into (strange) character, the Opening Ceremony designer may have underestimated the emotional toll of being a fake man. The usually fearless Sevigny says that she actually cried while putting on her prosthetic genitalia each day: "It was weird. I was lonely and I felt really unattractive. I was confused about my desirability — was I desirable? — in having put that on, and having men see me with that on." But, we're thinking that this mixed emotion might help her convey some of the incredibly complex emotions her killer character is going through. Or at least feel better in her own skin, off camera. What do you think? Do you feel for Chloë's struggle or think she should suck it up for the sake of the art? (Gawker)
Here's Kristen Stewart In Drag, Kinda Handsome, No?
While K. Stew is known for drumming up mucho controversy, at least we know she's been uhh, feeling herself lately. But we mean this in the most literal sense. Drumming up publicity for her upcoming movie, Snow White and The Huntsman, Kristen poses for Elle's June issue... twice. Once as the leather-skirted girl we're most familiar with, and once as a slick, (Balenciaga) suited boy-Stew. And the two are definitely hitting it off. What do you think of the boy-meets-girl-meets-reflection pic? To be fair, we're kind of digging it (and really want to see that movie!). Weigh in on the look-alike couple — and Stewart dressed as a dude — in the comments below. (MTV)
Lena Dunham Celebrated Her 26th Birthday At Spin Class
Birthday parties, like bachelorette parties and baby showers, oftentimes are more of a pain (for guests) than a source of joy. After splitting a $1K brunch bill, finding yourself squashed between two distant cousins of the birthday girl's on a party bus to Atlantic City, and then taking your first post-college Jello shot, and having to repeat that nearly every month, ad infinitum….it all gets a little old.
With that in mind, we have to say, Lena Dunham, we appreciate you thinking out of the box, but think of the guests, please! For her 26th birthday, the Girls creator took her friends to spin class at NYC's Soul Cycle, an enlightening, transformative workout (if you can avoid passing out).
For $34 each, birthday guests were treated (ha!) to a 45-minute, 500 calorie-burning workout. Wearing a Stella McCartney top and a sparkling tiara, Lena probably gave her birthday guests a party they've never been to before... and with burning glutes and the opportunity to see a sweaty Max Greenfield, the party favors was definitely a mixed bag. Florence Rocks A.C., Is Just As Theatrical As You Think...But More So
We wouldn't expect Florence + The Machine and Atlantic City to have much in common beyond their love of sequins, but after seeing Flo' shake it out on stage at the Borgata this past weekend, we stand corrected.
Not only was the impressive yet intimate casino stage an awesome setting for her emotive performance, but the A.C. crowd was just as cool and dedicated as any other, hanging on every note and begging for an encore (she obliged).
And what better way for Florence to end the American leg of her tour than by twirling dramatically across the stage in a sparkly black cape over a floor-length ball gown... barefoot? Of course we were mesmerized by her performance-art-meets-opera-meets-rock-meets-dream-sequence set and have all the up-close pics you'll need to feel like you were there, too. Click through, play your favorite Florence tune, and fall in (Cosmic) Love.

Shop Our Girl Lily Kwong's High-End (But Laid-Back!) Looks
We've long been fans of Lily Kwong's West-coast-meets-East-coast sartorial aesthetic; it's naturally eclectic but doesn't lack an ounce of sophistication. So when we saw that she teamed up with online mag Lifestyle Mirror to style an editorial shoot, we were pretty psyched. Lily sat down at one of our favorite downtown restos, Miss Lily's, for a (double-Lily) photo/video shoot that includes her signature loafers, sweet tunes, perfect summer staples, and (of course) a lil' something something from cousin Joseph Altuzarra. The best part? All of her wares are shoppable, like, now. Check out the adorable video below to learn more about why this It girl really has "It," and then call some of her pieces your own. Oh, and Lily, next time we're enjoying the joint's jerk chicken, well be watching for you...and your outfit. (Lifestyle Mirror)

Anna Wintour And Stephen Colbert Have A Date At Long John Silver's
Though she's probably still recovering from Monday night's Met Gala, Anna Wintour showed no sign of fatigue as she wittily took on Stephen Colbert on the Colbert Report. The editrix was on hand to celebrate the museum's new Schiaparelli and Prada exhibit, but she also managed to soften a bit, poking fun at Stephen's accidental fashion. The result of the interview was Anna's re-emphasized support of Obama, saying "there were tears in the office of Vogue in support of gay marriage," (same here, still gushing!), her obvious declaration that fashion is art and expression, and a dinner plan with Stephen at Long John Silver's, after he asked her how long it's been since she's thrown on pajamas and stuffed her face with batter-fried shrimp. "It's been a while...it's a date," she replies. Man, if we could have that Harry Potter invisible cloak for just one day...
Check out the video below for more Anna quips including when she tells Colbert The Devil Wears Prada was "so last year."

Spidey Smokeshow: Andrew Garfield Smolders, Talks Sex In VMAN
Right now, you're either fairly grossed out or unduly intrigued. Seems that when Andrew Garfield, the new star of the upcoming, NY-centric Amazing Spider-Man (and the owner of one of the best heads of hair in the biz), auditioned for the role of Peter Parker, his casting call fell on the same day as fellow washboard-chested Brit Jamie Bell. His interviewer (and former Spider-Man star himself, Tobey MaGuire) got to hear all about process in the newest issue of VMAN: "When you take off that bodysuit someone else is going to be stepping into your sweat immediately after. It’s a weird kind of cattle call." Yikes! We hope showers and Purell were made available to all applicants — though we're sure more than a few fan girls (and boys) would love to get their hands on the sample Spidey suit worn by Garfield, Bell, and, apparently, half of this generation's crop of young, fit actors. Keep your eyes on eBay!

Are Pippa Middleton And Her Famous Derriere Moving To NYC?
Fingers crossed, people! Grazia says their sources have discovered that Kate Middleton's peppy, chic, trouble-prone lil' sis' Pippa, "has sensationally decided to quit England and move abroad," sailing to New York's concrete shores. Of course, Grazia's "source" could very well be an editor's food-poisoning-induced fever dream (this is the land of Rupert Murdoch.) Nonetheless, we say Ms. Pippa should indeed make the jump across the Pond. Without the British press always at her estimable backside, she would be free to wave fake plastic guns at whomever she wants, shop, eat, and drink with relative anonymity, maybe invite you to brunch someplace nice, and, who knows, perhaps fall hopelessly in love with the staff writer of a Manhattan-based style and fashion website. We can all get behind that — right, guys? (Grazia)Photo: Via Grazia.
