Urban Outfitters' Around The World Boutique Is Bringing Scandinavian Designers Stateside
Urban Outfitters is once again taking us on a trip by inviting designers from abroad into their stores. This season, they've headed to Scandinavia, offering up goodies from Swedish designers like Carin Wester, Rodebjer, and House of Dagmar; and Danish designers Wood Wood and Stine Goya. What could be more perfect than getting submerged in these Northern locals this fall? With plenty of leggings to help us wear our skirts even in the winter, and a plethora of mini and maxi dresses paired with chunky knits, these designers—exclusively at two NYC Urban stores starting Sept 9, 2010—are keeping us cute and cozy as things start to get chilly.
What came first? The Urban Outfitters Australia collections, of course!
Salon Workers Steal Rafael Nadal's Hair
Looks like Spain's tennis star Rafael Nadal has some seriously sought after, luscious locks—whether they are on his head on not. Page Six is reporting that when Nadal took a trip to get a little trim at official US Open salon, Julien Farel,
on Madison Avenue, some of the women staffers at the salon swept
up his discarded tresses and put them right into their own pockets! There's hair envy and then there's hair envy. How do you say creepy in Spanish? (Page 6)

5 Things To Know This AM
How to pick up dudes with silly bandz. You know you need this! (The Cut)
Looks like New York's subway benches might be getting re-vamped. We can't decide if we are nostalgic about the old, wooden version or excited for new metal ones that seem to promise cleanliness. (Gothamist)
After 3 years, street style photographer Daniel Krieger is leaving Racked.com. To celebrate his departure, Krieger has put together a "best of" retrospective of his work. Impressive. (Racked)
Turns out Tiger Woods might not actually be moving to New York's West Village. Female club promoters are kicking themselves. (Huffington Post)
In other (confirmed) real estate news, Rachel Maddow IS moving to the West Village and has some choice words for the website Curbed, which published floor plans and the address of her new building. (Curbed)
Window Shopper: 3.1 Phillip Lim Clogs

If it wasn't official that clogs were a hot-ticket item for fall '10, the arrival of 3.1 Phillip Lim's "tom tom" clogs in his SoHo store have officially cemented the trend. We're loving the rich brown and black colors that give a serious edge to the traditional Dutch footwear, while elements like small studs, leather petals, and the dark wooden, 5 and-and-a-half inch heels (the chunky platform at the front makes and rubber soles them much less painful) make them oh so unique. Wear 'em with a short dress or skirt for some cocktail attire with street cred, or garner some serious shoe-envy with your rattiest pair of jeans and a boyfriend button-up. Either way, Holland style never looked hotter.
3.1 Phillip Lim Tom Tom Clogs, $625-695, available at 3.1 Phillip Lim; 115 Mercer Street (between Prince and Spring streets); 212-334-1160.
