Spend V-Day (Or Every Day) Watching Ryan Gosling On Demand

We're happy to announce that finally, after years of shoddy internet connections, poor broadcasting, and time wasted waiting for a technician to arrive sometime between 7 a.m. and next Tuesday, Time Warner Cable has finally done something right: For the entire month of February, all of Ryan Gosling's movies will be available On Demand. Alright, even if the flicks still cost between $1.99-$4.99, we're thinking you should cancel all of your after-work plans, and maybe consider using a few of those vacation days so you can spend some quality couch times with Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Notebook. Oh, and Valentine's Day? Whether you've started to stock up on single girl goodies, or if you've already made plans with your sweetie, we think there's only one acceptable answer to what you're doing on February 14: Let's just say the picture below drives a hard bargain.

Best '80s Flashback Yet: Guess Which Truly Awesome Movie Is Coming To Broadway

It's an obvious ploy to boost lagging ticket sales, drawing not-so-typically theater-going crowds to Broadway, but lately, Hollywood blockbusters on the Great White Way have become as ubiquitous as a broken heel in the MPD. There are those successes like Billy Elliot and The Lion King, and then there are the duds like Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and (we're guessing) the upcoming production of Ghost.

But now, rumor has it that one of our favorite '80s flicks of all time is about to take its turn on the stage. Get your flux capacitors, um, fluxxing because — wait for it — Back To The Future is coming to Broadway. Oh man, who didn't love that movie as a kid (possibly, some of us still watch it with our dads every single time it's on TBS)? So many questions though: Will there be a real DeLorean on the stage? Will Christopher Lloyd reprise his role as Doc (please, please, please, say yes!)? Who's going to play Biff (Kellan Lutz, this role is calling your name)? Will Michael J. Fox at least make an opening night cameo? See, so many questions. Clearly, we can barely contain our excitement. How about you? (Gothamist)

5 Things To Know This AM

Check out this glittery vid of PAPER Mag's editorial director, Mr. Mickey, living it up in the Steve Madden showroom to promote "Crashin' Fashion," the exclusive, behind-the-scenes coverage Mickey will be delivering straight from Fashion Week. Jealous, indeed. (Youtube)

After Susan G. Komen for the Cure pulling their funding of the organization Michael Bloomberg donated a whopping $250k to Planned Parenthood. You know what else pulling out causes? A lot of unplanned pregnancies (City Room)

We can't say it better than Animal New York Does: "These prop heads from The New York Lottery's 'Little Bit Of Luck' commercials will, most certainly, give you 'a little bit of a nightmare.' (Animal New York)

We already know that misery loves company, but so does this 10-foot tall heart in Time Square, which glows when people crowd around near it. (PSFK)

Statues at a Brooklyn church were defaced the other day after someone drew Kiss makeup on them in marker. While it's uncool that someone vandalized religious symbols, it's also uncool because, well, it's Kiss. (Gothamist)

My Style: It Jeweler Sara Beltran's Beachy-Chic Chelsea Crib

When you hear "beachy chic," your mind probably drifts westward to some Pacific bungalow where sun-kissed girls hang ten and sip drinks out of coconuts. But that's only because you've never met local jewelry designer Sara Beltran, the creative genius behind Dezso (or "desire" in Latin). Desire indeed. The line (an instant obsession of glossy editors and Barneys' buyers) consists of simple, well-made bracelets, necklaces, and earrings that channel her love of the ocean, her Mexican upbringing, and Jaipur, India, where she just opened up a design studio. In a time when jewelry can feel limited to large impact pieces, Beltran's spare collection stands out, an aesthetic that translates to her home life as well. We visited her Chelsea casa and discovered a total oasis of calm away from the overzealous galleristas below — rustic and earthy, clean and subtly sophisticated, this crib is one chic getaway. Of course, we didn't leave without some snaps of Beltran's personal style, too. You can bet her ensembles are as cleverly understated as her line, even though she rocks a Birkin on the reg. We just hope it doesn't get sandy.

Check out Sara's laid-back Chelsea crib and read up on her designs before she shows at NYFW for the first time!

Hottie Throwback! Do You Recognize This Legally Troubled Lovely?

martha-1

Martha Stewart.... is that YOU!? While we most regularly associate Ms. Stewart with hot cider and acorn bouquets instead of, uh, hot photos, and come-hither stares, it's really not that shocking that she was a model beauty back in the day. Despite her recent fisticuffs with the law, Martha's been aging as gracefully as possible. We're somewhat glad she's thrown in the towel on the swimsuit pics, but dang, she really had the chops for posing. It's a good thing. (The Gloss)

Meet NYC's Most Beautiful Teenage Brothers

brants

Stephanie Seymour has been many things to many people – supermodel back when it meant something, muse to and victim of Axl Rose, Playboy centerfold, and much more. Is celeb-mom her next gig?

See, after she left all of that behind, an affaire de coeur with billionaire publishing magnate Peter Brant turned into a family and a quiet(er) life in Connecticut. A life perhaps a little too quiet for her openly-gay and – let's be frank here – damned fabulous son Peter Brant II and his equally stylish younger brother Harry.

Hot new things, the Brant Brothers are stirring up the fashion world with their unapologetic glamour and an over-the-top twitter. Besides hanging out with Tavi, going to all the fashion week shows, meeting famous designers, chatting with buyers about yachts, and, of course, wearing the kinds of clothes young men (and women) would pretty much give a kidney for, the dynamic duo are so... beautifully fancy... they swallow attention like nobody's business. We mean, just look at them. Transfixing, aren't they?

Gawker hails Peter II (never Jr.) and Harry as potential new role models for gay youth – which is interesting and encouraging, if perhaps a bit premature. After all, these guys were born into a helluva lot of power and privilege. Connecting with the young man who buys his eveningwear from Walmart could be a stretch. It gets better? For these kids, it was never bad. Also, it might be a little narrow minded to think that gay youth will always look up to the fabulously dressed and fabulously wealthy? But, then again, we just can't look away from that picture. They're like a couple of Persian cats with the hair of a young Elvis. Somebody get these boys a reality show asap!

Tell us what you think — are the Brant Brothers role model stature, or are they just two (very, very) pretty faces? (Gawker)

One brave beer purveyor is going to tell crazed-sports fans what they can and cannot drink, on this most holy of weekends: the Super Bowl. We wish him safety. (CBS News)

Holy smokes! The NYPD just found a 5 story walk-up (or, uh, grow-up) used exclusively for the cultivation of marijuana. (Globe and Mail)

Snooki's Rumored Pregnancy Means No Blacking Out For 9 Months

Morning sickness, late night cravings, talks of "settling down," yep, looks like Snooki might have a bun sky-high poof in the oven. She's reportedly been buzzing to "insiders," who have in turn been buzzing to Star magazine (so let's take that with a grain of salt) about the baby-to-be. The father is supposedly none other than Jioni LaValle, Snooks on-again, off-again boyfriend who gets mad at the tiny reality star when she dances on tables and lifts up her skirt. We're assuming her bad-girl behavior would stop if the rumored future mommy actually became a mommy, but we still pity Jioni as we think of having to put up with both a crying infant and Snooki's signature, "wahhhhhh." Lady Gaga Saves The World, One Downward Dog At A Time

As a singer, Lady Gaga enriches our lives by giving us something to bop along to at our desks, and as an advocate she adds her amplified voice to that of the gay community. But we're scratching our heads a bit, when it comes to figuring out how she helps the general public by practicing yoga.

According to her Bikram instructor, "Lady Gaga is something very special, because she is a woman of service. She uses her talent to make this world better, and that’s because she practices yoga." Sooo... are we meant to believe that save for a little focused breathing, Lady Gaga's empire would crumble? And on another note, what the hridaya akasha does Lady Gaga wear to the yoga studio? The Smile Brings Tasty Pastry To Soho, We're Cheesin' Hard

smile-embed

With more than enough touristy eateries crowding the southernmost part of Soho bordering Chinatown, we're excited that Smile To Go just opened up on Howard Street. At a soft opening this past weekend (with free treats leaving passersby hungry for more!), we'd got a mere taste of their daily changing menu. And we are ready for more.

Serving up the same Mediterranean fare as Smile part one, the owners Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte have recruited (the much raved-about) Brenna White to (wo)man the pastry table at Smile To Go. After just a few days, we can't get enough of the banana bread (usually the first to go in the AM) or the raspberry scones. If you happen to be coming out of Opening Ceremony (just across the street — convenient, we know), you can spot this joint under the unassuming Lucky Bakery sign, a relic from the old Chinese pastry shop that once was, or just follow the long weekend lines that might just include an Olsen smiling along in the crowd.

Smile To Go, 22 Howard Street (at Crosby Street); 646-329-5836.
