Shop It NowHere's Giorgio Armani Shirtless In WSJ. We Ask, How Is He 77??
We might not exactly look forward to getting older, but at least Giorgio Armani's
WSJ
spread (online today, on newsstands Saturday) gives us a glimmer of hope. The guy's obviously talented, but at 77-years-young, he's also a bonafide (shirtless) stud! And a bonafide, smart stud at that, telling WSJ about how, "fashion makes no sense, unless it serves the primary purpose of dressing people." Seems practical to us, no? All too practical for a guy that has two large onyx panthers in his entry hall and "a larger-than-life statue of a Roman god in his gym." Now we're just wondering if the deity was sculpted after him...let's hope it's bronze, too! Click through for more soundbites from the interview, including Armani's health secrets (Demi Moore's plastic surgeon? We joke) and the future of his biz. Here's Kristen Stewart In Drag, Kinda Handsome, No?
While K. Stew is known for drumming up mucho controversy, at least we know she's been uhh, feeling herself lately. But we mean this in the most literal sense. Drumming up publicity for her upcoming movie, Snow White and The Huntsman, Kristen poses for Elle's June issue... twice. Once as the leather-skirted girl we're most familiar with, and once as a slick, (Balenciaga) suited boy-Stew. And the two are definitely hitting it off. What do you think of the boy-meets-girl-meets-reflection pic? To be fair, we're kind of digging it (and really want to see that movie!). Weigh in on the look-alike couple — and Stewart dressed as a dude — in the comments below. (MTV)
Spidey Smokeshow: Andrew Garfield Smolders, Talks Sex In VMAN
Right now, you're either fairly grossed out or unduly intrigued. Seems that when Andrew Garfield, the new star of the upcoming, NY-centric Amazing Spider-Man (and the owner of one of the best heads of hair in the biz), auditioned for the role of Peter Parker, his casting call fell on the same day as fellow washboard-chested Brit Jamie Bell. His interviewer (and former Spider-Man star himself, Tobey MaGuire) got to hear all about process in the newest issue of VMAN: "When you take off that bodysuit someone else is going to be stepping into your sweat immediately after. It’s a weird kind of cattle call." Yikes! We hope showers and Purell were made available to all applicants — though we're sure more than a few fan girls (and boys) would love to get their hands on the sample Spidey suit worn by Garfield, Bell, and, apparently, half of this generation's crop of young, fit actors. Keep your eyes on eBay!

Francisco Costa Doesn't Believe In Diet Coke, Makes Homes For His Cats
We love getting inside the head of a designer, and when it's one of our favorite favorite contemporary artists doing the probing, so much the better. This month's Interview delivers a great tête à tête between Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa and photographer Ryan McGinley that's as frank a discussion of sexuality, childhood, and creative processes as you're liable to read. Up for discussion are both Costa's and McGinley's personal sexual awakenings, how their upbringings inspired their work, and other heavy business including family deaths. Lightening the load are a few fun revelations: Despite Calvin Klein's spartan aesthetic, Costa admits he hates the word "minimalism" (surprise, surprise) and prefers "reductionist," cops to wearing the tightest Speedos possible (yikes), used to make homes for his family cats, and hates Diet Coke even though he works in an industry seemingly fueled by it (brave man). Cutest of all, he claims that when he arrived in New York in 1985 without being to speak a word of English, he communicated with people in clubs through the "Language of love!" For a man who's famous for creating white sheath dresses, his story is all sorts of colorful. (Interview Magazine)

Ke$ha Covers V, Talks Being Dirty, Bieber, & Britney
When we think of Dirty Pop we used to think of N*Sync and N*Sync only, but with her raspy, screamed lyrics, grungy hair, and ripped tights, Ke$ha is becoming more and more the definitive Dirty Pop icon. And it looks like that's something we can agree on! For her cover spread in
V Magazine's Americana issue
out May 10, (yes, we said cover spread), Ke$ha admitted “I do feel like there are the pop stars of the world and then I’m like their dirty little sister, running around with shit on my face in combat boots because I can’t walk in heels." Shit on her face indeed; The V photo spread shows K crying with smudged American flag face paint (as well as "glamour" shots with windblown hair).
Ke$ha also dished that she'd love to collab with with a range of artists wider than her teased locks, "I would love to have Keith Richards on the record. I would sure as hell like to do a collaboration with Bieber and at the same time do a song with the Flaming Lips." While we'd be interested to hear what those tracks sound like, we recommend that K stick with the pop thing for now, no matter how filthy it may be. And hey, if she's looking to link up with someone, at least it looks like Britney's a fan —the queen of pop says that she listens to her "dirty little sister's" songs on the treadmill. Us too, Brit, us too. Click through for all the pics and tell us if you think this is patriotic, then read the whole interview over at V.

This 14-Year-Old Is About To Take On Seventeen Magazine
Ambitious 14-year old Julia Bluhm is pissed. She doesn't like that Seventeen Magazine uses Photoshop to manipulate its images and thinks it perpetuates an unrealistic model for young girls. So, adding a little but loud voice to the great Photoshop debate, Julia Bluhm is going to protest. Tomorrow. Outside of Hearst Tower. With a petition signed by 13,000 people.
While we're certainly impressed with Julia's efforts and agree that the well of photography that features heavily 'shopped models and celebs might have an effect on reader's standard of looks and therefore their self-esteem, we would like to mention that Seventeen is one of the few mags that does shoot real girls in their front of book. Of course, a bit of retouching goes into the final spread of the real teen shoots, but we're assuming that's for the overall consistency as well as the confidence of the real teens included in the photo stories.
We're interested to see if Julia's protest (which will also include a guerilla photoshoot) will effect change in this mag or others, but either way, we take this as a sign that obvious airbrushing won't go... well... brushed over without a fight. And we thought we were productive at 14. As always, tell us what you think in the comments below. (Gothamist)

Video: Chanel Iman Poisons Her Lover, Tortures Him
Lollipops. Puppies. Teenage girls squealing over One Direction at a slumber party. As one of the official faces of Victoria's Secret PINK, Chanel Iman channels all things sweet 16, whether she's posing perkily in bright, girly PINK hoodies or smiling down the VS fashion show runway to blaring teen pop. Getting even with a cheating lover in a scene straight out of Revenge? Not so much.
Well, well, well. Turns out we were wrong. Last night, we witnessed a 180-degree transformation that dispels Chanel-lite in just three minutes and 46 seconds. The quick-change is thanks to Jenna Elizabeth's short film, Thirst, a collaboration with BULLETT magazine and luxe accessories brand Reece Hudson, where a feminine Iman turns hardcore (read: Lisbeth Salander) femme fatale. We watched the flick slack-jawed with a clutch of other fashion girls and boys — think: Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Genevieve Jones, Timo Weiland, Kelly Framel, and Fivestory's Claire Distenfeld — over fried chicken and cold sake at Niko, making for a Monday that made us wish it was Friday.
Okay, so this isn't the first time we're seeing the supermodel less than squeaky clean; indeed, boundary-pushing filmmaker Elizabeth's first teamup with Iman led to some haunting stripping action. For Elizabeth x Chanel 2.0, though, we're taken somewhere infinitely more dangerous and erotic, an in-motion editorial that leaves the viewer disturbed, empowered, and, yes, slightly turned-on. Shot at the already moody Lafayette House, the "deadly game of confession" maps out just exactly what unfolds if you happen to be stupid enough to sleep with another woman while you're hooking up with Miss Chanel. A superhero for the Carine Roitfeld French Vogue generation, the model poisons her lover via some tainted whiskey, then gets heavy with the duct tape, leading to some macabre games with stilettos, cigarettes, and surgical equipment that's worthy of any Saw murderer. Paired with Reece Hudson's delicate, eye-catching bags and accessories — a gold-flecked minaudiere here, a crucifix-embossed cross-body bag there — and we're not sure if we should be making a shopping list or screaming. Who knew our clutches needed to fit a scalpel?

Kate Upton Love Triangle? What's She Doing With Aziz & Jared Leto?

It's not rare that the gorgeous Kate Upton is surrounded by fawning gentleman, but it's a bit more unexpected that Aziz Ansari would get so intimate with a supermodel. Leave it to Harper's Bazaar and NYC shutterbug Terry Richardson's salacious lens to make some dreams come true. In a throwback to Old Hollywood glamour, Upton posed with the funny man and style
Maryna Linchuk Is One Hot Manhattan Momma In Vogue Russia
In Russian Vogue's new "How I Met Your Mother" editorial, there's not a trace of Jason Segel or Neil Patrick Harris to be seen. Instead, what we get is Belarusian beauty Maryna Linchuk lugging a pair of totally aborbs tots around NYC while she sports some very unmatronly pieces by Nina Ricci, Tom Ford, Givenchy, and others. While you check out the hotness over at Supermodels.nl, ponder these questions — what would the PSP Mom Boards have to say about the dangers of carrying an infant while in sky-high Louboutins, and, wait a sec, since when do they have How I Met Your Mother in Russia? Confirmed: Liv Tyler Is Just As Adorable As We'd Always Hoped
We hate it when celebs we've long worshipped or thought of as "BFF material," are suddenly unmasked as complete divas or total bores. It ruins the illusion we've long held in our minds that we would totally hang out, if the opportunity ever presented itself. Thankfully, this isn't the case with Liv Tyler, who reveals herself as one delightfully down-to-earth lady in the May issue of Elle, on newsstands tomorrow.A lot of times when celebs tell us their beauty secrets, it sounds like a laundry list of fabulosity — high-end products, exclusive facials, insane regimens. Then you have Liv, who swaps skin care secrets with her dad, loves her Clarisonic, and used to steal makeup from her mom. Yup, we're definitely still smitten. Below, a peek at what else we learned.
What did growing up with a model as a mother teach you about beauty?
"My mom is super beautiful and elegant, but also kind of naturally punk rock. She always had a lot of earrings pinned on the wall of her dressing room with feathers and skulls and things—very Desperately Seeking Susan — and I used to love to play with her makeup, even though she would always say 'don’t get into my makeup.' But then, my grandmother is very formal. She’s an etiquette teacher, and just impeccable. From her, I learned things like to run a white nail pencil under my nails when I’m in the tub because it keeps the tips really clean and bright. She taught me a lot about grooming, always smelling good, and taking extra time to care for yourself, even when you’re being natural. "
Surely your father has passed along some hair-care tips.…
"We have really different hairstyles: He has a lot of things sewn into his hair, little jewels and stuff, and he likes to bend his head forward and blow it with two blow-dryers, to get lots of volume in the roots, while I like to wear mine straight and flat. But we’re always comparing face creams and masks — he has cupboards full of them."
What do you use on your skin?
"Every night I wash and tone. I use a Clarisonic on my face and all kinds of scrubs and gloves on the rest of my body, and I do masks a few times a week. I try to keep my makeup pretty simple, and I like natural- looking lashes, so I always lightly wipe my lashes with a tissue after applying mascara to get any excess off. When I have the time, I get them dyed, because I think it looks so beautiful."
Like we said, Liv doesn't disappoint. Now, which other celebs are you dying to be BFFs with?

Is This The Sexiest L Train Ride Ever? (The Answer's Yes)
It's just another ride on the L train. Well, not really. Dazed & Confused is at it again with their awesomely jaw-dropping editorials. This time, urban, grimy, NYC public transportation is the backdrop, and model Frankie Rayder is the star. Shot by photographer Theo Wenner (AKA Mr. Liv Tyler—the two have been dating for a year), these pics show that, yes, there can be glamour on the L train. Mixing sportswear with sparkle and towering heels, these outfits look like something we would wear on the way to the gym — and then decided we look way too good to get all sweaty. We think these snaps are so New York, but beanies with netting may not be everyone's bag. Check out the whole spread here and tell us your thoughts.

Mom Puts 7-Year-Old On Diet, Writes About It For Vogue
In case you haven't gotten around to your April issues yet, be sure to check out this insane Vogue article about a mother's extreme efforts to help her daughter slim down to a healthier size. In yet another case of moms making questionable parenting decisions when addressing body issues, Dara-Lynn Weiss joined the crazy-overbearing-parent ranks when she took an unconventional (we hope) approach to addressing her daughter's early diagnosis with clinical obesity, putting her seven-year-old daughter, Bea, on a year-long diet. While Bea's health is the obvious priority, and risks of high blood pressure and Type 2 Diabetes are certainly not healthy, we think this mom's methods were more brutal than beneficial.
Bea's juvenile diet doesn't emphasize playing outside or making healthy choices, and Weiss says that getting the seven-year-old to slim down was as easy as providing her with "less to eat" (though we should note that her daughter wasn't exactly scarfing down Twinkies in the first place, according to the article). In true One-Percenter style, Weiss writes of an incident when she limited her child's food intake after realizing she had indulged in "nearly 800 calories of brie, filet mignon, baguette, and chocolate" during a school celebration. But her mother also writes about a few of her own struggles, including issues with body image and how annoying it was to hear her daughter "complain of being hungry." Now 16 pounds smaller and two inches taller (plus, a reward of a feathered hair extension), Bea's mother says, "That fat girl is a thing of the past."
What do you think of this sticky situation — is this mom in the right by depriving her daughter to improve her health, or should she have weighed some other options? (Jezebel)
