Entrepreneur's Eve At The Adler Planetarium

If you always feel like all the money you spend on NYE goes down the drain, then this bash is for you. Not only does it take place at the super cool Planetarium (check out that Mars-like party scene!), ticket proceeds benefit the H Foundation (in partnership with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University), which raises funds to cure cancer.

Join Chicago's top entrepreneurial spirits on the dance floor, in the cigar bar, in the casino, at the open bar (created by the amazing drink-master Benjamin Newby), or in the decked-out lounge. If you're feeling cerebral, browse around the museum exhibits sans the field-trip kiddies. Stick around for the fireworks display along Lake Michigan, and whatever you do, don't leave without picking up the coveted swag bag of goodies. The party starts at 7:30 p.m. and goes until 1 a.m. Tickets cost between $200 and $325 and are available here.

Adler Planetarium, 1300 South Lake Shore Drive (between Columbus Dr and Mcfretridge Drive); 312-922-7827.
