Now, have we ever tried to act like we’re professional chefs or maestros in the kitchen? No — we leave that to our tastemakers. What we can do though are the basics, ones we all know and love (and we think we do them pretty well). After all, potatoes never get old, right? Nor does, say, oatmeal. It’s essential. The Perfect Oatmeal
1. Stir 1 cup of raw oats into 1 3/4 cup of boiling water.
2. Let simmer for one minute, until water has absorbed. Cover and set aside for a few minutes.
3. Cut up bananas, blueberries, and any other fruit you desire. You can also add nuts or chia seeds for a little crunch.
4. Add a splash of your favorite natural sweetener. We like honey, but maple syrup is delicious as well.
