This Is Our Jam: Mariah Carey, Vampire Weekend, & More

This week we have an amazing new song from Mariah Carey and Miguel, some infectious Swedish pop, a new collaboration with Au Revoir Simone's Erika Spring, and the latest song (and accompanying video) from Vampire Weekend. Our favorite release of the week, though, has to be the fantastic new single from mysterious U.K. outfit Twigs. Featuring up-and-coming electronic producer ARCA, "How's That" is both beautiful and disconcerting in all the right ways. Check them all out below.
Mariah Carey
"#Beautiful (feat. Miguel)"
Mariah is back in top form, and all it took was a little help from Miguel. "#Beautiful" may have a hashtag attached to its title, but the track is 100% classic "R&B." Can't Miguel just be featured on every new song?

Vampire Weekend
"Ya Hey"
Another great new track from our favorite Upper West Siders. Like the band's past few singles, "Ya Hey" comes with a supremely charming video featuring beautiful shots of the New York skyline and more Champagne that anyone could possibly handle. Cheers!
Twigs
"How's That"
When we first featured Twigs last August, hardly any information was known about the mysterious songstress (or is it band? We still aren't sure). That said, every new song Twigs has dropped has been a stunner, and "How's That" is no disappointment. Producer ARCA brings an uneasy mechanical beat to the track's erotically charged lyrics.

Airbird and Napolian
"In the Zone (feat. Erika Spring)"
Airbird makes music as part of synth outfit Ford & Lopatin and owns the Brooklyn record label Software along with his partner. For "In the Zone," he's teamed up with fellow analog synth-head Napolian and vocalist Erika Spring for a woozy take on '80s pop.
Kate Boy
"The Way We Are"
Stockholm, Sweden-based pop outfit Kate Boy have released single after single of dance-floor-ready pop. "The Way We Are" is a rhythmic synth-based track that continues to show that the band has huge potential.
