After Friday's raucous Chloë Sevigny x Opening Ceremony launch party (tune in later for that), we were only too happy to trek back to the cobblestone floors and bright blue tiled walls of The Double Club to see the clothes in the flesh. Billed as menswear for men and women, and sized from XXS to XL, the unisex pieces cite the actress's Connecticut roots as well as her interest in British alternative youth. Standouts seen on the male and female models included Fair Isle harem pants, Henleys with attached hood-like scarves, an ultra-soft pink flannel which comes with or without a tail (double-bounus), animal-print cardigans, slim moleskin trousers, and over-dyed calico button-downs—all ideal for layering when the temperature drops. Walking us through the collection while wearing the most amazing pair of vintage leather shorts, Chloë explained the sharp departure from her previous Opening Ceremony endeavor, known for its feminine soft florals. "I have a lot of girlfriends who like to wear oversized stuff, and my male friends and gay boyfriends would complain that they couldn't wear anything from my collection," she said. "Their only option was to carry a floral or leopard-print tote. Now they have more options." 
On the accessories front, we were impressed by checkerboard scarves, leopard-print gloves, and pair of gray and black wool backpacks with clear pockets for stashing your smokes. But it's the collaboration with New England stalwart Bass that really got our blood pumping. Thick-heeled Moc Chukka booties in black and oxblood, saddle shoe boots, and two-tone Weejun loafers resurrected from Bass's '50s archives toe the line between utilitarian and modern. Oh, and those multi-buckled wedges Chloë's wearing? Soooo going on the top of our shopping list.
