Are there any new interpretations of neon that are on the market now, to make this trend more modern?

"The new neons are creamy and slightly softer for 2012," say Ange and Vernice, "not the pearls we saw in the '80s. Some neons are matte and powdery, which keeps things on trend — full-on glossy can sometimes be overpowering. We have also created a fantastic sheer, gel-type formula which gives you a wash of neon color. This is a much lighter, prettier way of wearing the trend."
