Nail decals...are they ever okay? We were completely skeptical, until we saw the ornate gold nail decals on the badass ladies at Ruffian's Spring '13 show. The medieval-chic decals gave a glam touch to simple bright manis, perfectly accenting the street-meets-femme collection.
Jewelry artist Su Laing seems to have caught onto the trend with her new line, Neil Veils, a collection of bronze nail decals that can be applied on top of polish or bare nails with nail glue. Our verdict: we dig the shorter versions, which remind us of the Ruffian nails, but the pointed versions? And the one with the dangling Swarovski crystal? Sorry, we just can't. Not only do they look like Lady Gaga turned up to 11, they also look like an accident waiting to happen.
