Duo Tones

Two-tone manis are nothing new, but both Lippmann and Weiss-Fischmann say we're going to see new iterations in 2012. "Painting nails with different shades is a big trend," says Lippmann. "The idea is to mix and match, and never worry about what you’re wearing." Adds Weiss-Fischmann, "Two-toned manicures with different but complementary hues will also continue to be popular." We love this posh purple look from Prabal Gurung. Working with Sally Hansen, Jin Soon Choi painted nails with a shimmery lilac hue, then layered on a deep purple polish just above the nail bed, to create a chic silhouette effect.
