Paws Before You Polish: Doggy Nail Art Is A Thing

Peanut butter and jelly, holiday weekends and beautiful weather (fingers crossed), Diane and Joshua; all things that we love separately, but somehow seem even better together. Surprisingly not on the list? Puppies and nail art.
Between our addictive desire to decorate our digits with new weekly (give or take) designs, and our inability to repress our squeals at the sight of any lovable pooch, you'd think something like doggy nail art would tickle our fancy. But, no. Not even a little bit.
While a simple swipe of polish on a claw may be, well, unconventional, but not too stressful to apply, the process of applying actual nail art can be time consuming and taxing on a human, let alone an animal who may not be as willing to sit still. The fact that there is a product specifically designed for canines —Pawdicure Polish Pens, obvi — ought to comfort us with the knowledge that this kind of beauty service is at least safe and appropriate for puppies. But somehow, we're still not on board. While we're not exactly the experts on raising dogs (is there a Dr. Spock for dogs?), we think our furry BFFs are better off without plaid polish on their paws.
