How To Shake Things Up Without Losing Your Style

Lately I’ve wanted a change. While I still love feminine accents, I’ve recently been drawn to cleaner lines and silhouettes. I love how attractive a tailored outfit can be, and how sometimes pants might be preferred over a dress. In an effort to refine my style a bit more, and dress more like a woman than a girl (yes, I said it!), I’m taking it one step at a time. So, for this outfit I decided to embrace black, a color I’ve been more than a little apprehensive about.

To keep it still soft and feminine, I chose a blouse in a pretty peplum cut with sweet polka dot details on the sleeves. The look is modern and sophisticated, but doesn’t stray too far from my comfort zone of girly frocks and polka dots. That's what's so fun about fashion: You can change things up whenever the mood strikes you.
