Once September hits, I usually begin to pack away all my super summery clothes, like my pretty pastels and floral prints. It’s a really, really sad day. So, when I found out pale pink was a huge color for fall, I got a little too excited. Anything to keep my summer dresses for longer makes me a happy camper. But, to make this light color appropriate for the colder season, I added a very obvious fall piece, like this oversized plaid wool vest.

It gives a rich texture and makes me look like ready for some apple-picking. Add some other neutral-colored fall accessories, like a brown purse and burgundy ankle boots. If it’s cold enough, add tights! Make sure your makeup isn’t too light (red lipstick will be your best friend these next few months), and you’re good to go!
