You could end up sitting on the 405 for two hours to go 10 miles. I kid you not. Day or night, it's inescapable. And so to preserve my long hair by not ripping it out in frustration, let me introduce to you my saving grace: the scooter.
My style preference varies from boho maxis one day to thigh-high slit dresses the next but when I'm riding my scooter, I have a strict aesthetic I follow, and it begins with safety. Biltwell is my helmet of choice mainly because it has a variety of glittery options. Then for bottoms I usually stick to pants that have some stretch or a pair of shorts. I always find myself scooting around in to the night so I make sure to pack a leather jacket.

Whether I’m going on a compulsive shopping spree at The Beverly Center, or indulging in a sugar high at Milk, scooting makes darting through traffic (and finding parking!) that much easier. Having an alternative way of commuting (that allows for cute accessories) helps ease the pain.
