I never thought I could pull off the denim-on-denim look. All that blue felt like overkill to me. But, just like the boy bands of the '90s, the Canadian tuxedo is back — and I succumbed. I've been pairing this deconstructed chambray shirt with jeans for my weekend go-to for weeks now.
I love the subtle tearing on this shirt, making it feel like something that I could've perma-borrowed from my mom's closet. If you don't have a distressed shirt, you can always get the look at home with any ol' chambray item. Just rub sandpaper back and forth over the areas you'd like to look more worn. Then gently pull on the threads. What do you think? Would you try the modern twist on this '90s throwback look or are you steering clear?
