Early fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I can keep wearing some of my favorite summer pieces, but freshen them up with quintessential fall staples, like scarves, a beanie, or booties. Mixing two seasonal wardrobes together makes for endless new outfit combinations, like a summer dress paired with a chunky cardigan or pleated shorts layered over tights and a flannel blouse.
One of my more successful recent pairings mixes my favorite new, white, pleated trousers with a knit crop sweater and my go-to black blazer that I’ve owned for years. Since I'm mixing textures and silhouettes, I knew I had to keep the colors and accessories simple. So, I stuck with black and white (a trend that I’m still very much a fan of) replete with white nails, which are chic as is or revamped for fall.
