Where do you love to shop in Chicago?

His: "I have a few go-to places I frequent. For shoes, it’s Altman’s Men’s Shoes and Boots. They have an unbelievable stock of new and vintage shoes that can’t be found anywhere else. For a little bit of everything unique, try Dose Market, a monthly bazaar of curated goods at the River East Art Center. For classic vintage pieces (coats, blazers, belts) I sneak into the Village Discount Outlet. Maria introduced me to this place when we first started dating. Let’s just say, it isn’t exactly Barneys. You have to go in without any expectations. With that rule in mind you can find some incredible pieces. For instance, Maria found a classic '80s Dior men’s trench for about $5. After a visit to my tailor (Nuri’s Custom Tailor), which every man should have, it looks custom-made. For home building projects the best place in Chicago is The Rebuilding Exchange. The warehouse is stacked with reclaimed wood, vintage fixtures, and salvaged marble taken from various deconstruction projects in and around the Chicago area."

Hers: "Trey revealed some of my secret spots, but I also love the Gold Coast Intermix for their great sales, Lulu’s at Belle Kay for unique, quality pieces that I know no one else will have, and I am a frequent visitor of Shopbop for classic staples to my wardrobe. I leave the housewares to Trey, but I'm in charge of the plants and flowers, so I tend to frequent Gethsemane Gardens in Edgewater."
