Must-See Art Alert: Leon Golub At William Griffin Gallery

Leave tomorrow evening open and head over to Santa Monica's William Griffin Gallery for the new Leon Golub exhibition. The late Golub had a knack for painting figures depicting power and politics, and later on aging and mortality, layering his cheeky texts over controversial scenes. His work has been displayed at prominent museums such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York, LACMA, and Tate Modern in London, and now will be gracing the Griffin until March 5. It would be a shame if you missed it, so make sure you make your way to the William Griffin Gallery.

Opening Reception, Saturday January 22nd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., William Griffin Gallery, 2902 Nebraska Avenue (at Olympic Boulevard); 310-586-6860.
