Your visual aesthetic seems to have gone from dark to light from Stridulum to Conatus. What did you want to express with this shift in aesthetic?
"It was a way to push me into a different mode. I feel like having worn exclusively black for about 6 years was becoming almost ritualistic, and if I was going to challenge myself with this record, it meant also challenging everything that felt comfortable to me, including my very monochrome closet. I guess I'm still within the monochrome spectrum, just on the other side now..."
