So, you woke up to a bit of a snow situation this morning. While a messy commute and an extra layer (or two) of clothing is less than encouraging, spring really is around the corner. But if you're looking for the light at the end of the cold tunnel, save the date for Friday, March 1, when MODA (a nonprofit student organization at the University of Chicago) will hold its annual spring fashion show blowout.
Held at Union Station from 8 to 10 p.m., this year's event promises to exceed last year's attendance of 1,000 peeps, so it's really a big deal! The runway show will feature collections from well-known, established brands, up-and-coming local designers, and the talented designers of the University of Chicago.
In short, all aspects of fashion will be represented, and we can't wait to gawk.

Make sure you arrive with enough time before the show starts so you don't miss out on the tasty hors d'oeuvres, drinks, desserts, and live tunes from local musical artists and DJs. We say, that sounds like a recipe fit for beating the winter blues, so get your ticket (between $12 and $30), stat!
