Holy Moly: The Newest Menswear Fashion Blog Comes From A Pastor
Though most folks turn to pastors for biblical rather than sartorial guidence, Miami/Dallas megachurch minister Ed Young is doing his damnest (oops, darnedest) to preach a bit of style from the pulpit. Holding forth from Pastorfashion.com (can't believe that address was free), Young offers what he calls "Fashion Tips For the Faithful" tailored to an evangelical audience (a set not known for refined tastes). Unfortunately, we're not down with all of this lay pastor's commandments. He's against "sensual" dressing, belts with suits, and, one would assume, sex before marriage.But we, like Young, believe that bulky suits are unholy and that, "square-toe shoes are from the Devil". And, we applaud Young's effort to bring standards to his flock, even if he comes off like Ned Flanders trying to "kick it" with the kids. "If people take a step and think about it they would see it. God created color, God created design. He created things that look nice and we're simply doing what he wants us to do. Being a follower of Christ should be cool because God is cool, God is hip." We're no theologians, but we never thought of God as Karl Lagerfeld — or vice versa for that matter. Generally, though, we're going stick to Glenn O'Brien for menswear tips and keep our own counsel on the rest, if no one minds. What say you? Should religion and fashion mix, or is vanity a true sin? We Got Shady With Chanel Iman In Miami — Read On, Voyeurs
Open any luxury fashion mag and you will be sure to spot model Chanel Iman grinning back winningly, or creating major body envy, or both. (Also, Chanel as a killer? Well, killer.) Yes, we always love to see her adorned in Dolce and Gabbana or Dior, but — this is Miami —spying her peepers' game is pretty awesome: A pair of Tom Fords here, some Ray-Bans there. We caught up with the Victoria’s Secret Angel this week for Sunglass Hut’s Summer Block Party in Miami to celebrate the opening of their largest store yet. Although she admits to loving a good pair of sunnies, this Vogue cover girl is anything but shady.

Weird Trend We're Digging: Golf-Inspired Shoes
Golf: A sport with unparalleled elegance and unmatched panache. Because sunny SoFla is a default destination for those craving glistening green fields with beaming flags and sand dunes, golfer style is never overtly trendy, but has been appearing in our periphery as of late. Enter le golf-inspired shoe: an oxford-like sole often adorned with tassels and always oozing with refinement.
The golfer brogue is a classic American staple, a signifier of the well-heeled prepster life. Tory Burch has jumped on the bandwagon golf-cart with a colorful pair. But if you really have an inkling for detail, Jack Will’s brogues and F-Troup's golf flats will have you following every delicate curve that ornaments the leather. But no shoe can cause a cart collision such as Hexa by Kuho’s stomping sky high beauties. An odd choice for the green? Yes. But we know your style knows no boundaries.

Come hell or high water we're getting our paws on Mara Hoffman's 2012 swim collection. While it was only yesterday that we were oohing and ahhing over the designer's collab with Soludos, can you really blame us for being so Hoffman-obsessed? Her graphic patterns and unexpected shapes put basic bikinis to shame. Plus, Hoffman isn't partial to just swimwear, she also creates some of the most fun fashion this side of the Mississippi. Dwyane Wade: Fashion's Next Big Shoe Designer?
We know that Dwyane Wade can bring the Heat (pun intended) on the basketball court, but now the star athlete is flexing his muscles in another way — fashion design. D. Wade recently collaborated with the high-end loafer brand Del Toro to create several cutting-edge shoes. How did this unlikely pairing come about, you ask? Del Toro designer Matthew Chevallard tells us he originally created a couple of custom-made pairs for Wade, but the Heat player was so enamored, the company suggested he try out designing on his own. And the rest, as they say, is history.
As of now, the shoes aren't available for the masses (the limited-edition pairs live only in Dwyane's closet), but here'sto hoping he one day designs a full-scale collection.
