What To Wear To Wynwood’s Hottest Galleries

Browsing local and foreign artists at your favorite galleries means two things for your style: One, it's a bit more high maintenance than your everyday work or beach wear; Two, you get to be much more creative. With all the contemporary creators, dealers, and (obvs) artwork you'll be surrounding yourself with, it's important (and, let's face it, fun) to dress accordingly. So head check out our round-up of cool Miami art galleries in the Wynwood Arts District.

Located in the heart of the district on 2nd Avenue, Robert Fontaine Gallery is one of our newest favorites to see artists at all stages of their careers and, of course, be seen in a favorite new outfit. Check out the gallery's exhibit of nine represented artists, titled, well, "Represented," in a structured look with quirky details. A classic blazer in a black-and-white stripe, a miniature black bag, and a jeweled collar give this tropical-printed dress just what it needs to transition from a day on the sand to a night full of contemporary style.

For the Gallery Diet, summer means a two-part exhibition presented by ART BLOG ART BLOG. For the first half, titled Leave it to Beavers, named after the multi-artist show's curator Gina Beavers, try a bolder, more colorful ensemble to both blend and stand out in the crowd. Layer a bright blazer, a fun shoe, and a quirky ring with a chic solid dress for a look any crowd would envy — bonus points for print and texture mixing.

For Ted Vasin's show, "Poison Bliss," at 101/exhibit gallery, the sky is the limit for sartorial experimentation. With super-detailed drawings with equal touches of pastel and badass that practically beg to be reimagined in outfit form, try a printed shirt with pastel basics and a lucite heel for a look that compliments, not distracts, from the work around you. When you go out to dinner afterward, well, that's a completely different story...
