Miami Shopping: Almost As Good As A Day At the Beach!

Even though we hail from the heartland of great shopping, we love to root out the best retail stars every city has to offer. While on our PARISIENNE journey, we were happy to kick off our week of discoveries in Miami. Not exactly a city known for stellar shopping, but we found three boutiques we definitely wished were a little closer to home. Be on the lookout for our top Miami vintage shops, too (PS: there will be Mugler, leopard, and lots of other amazing stuff that threatened our self control, big-time).
1. The Webster, 1220 Collins Avenue; www.thewebstermiami.com

Housed in a gorgeous Art Deco building built in 1939, The Webster's three floors of truly PARISIENNE fashion—Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent to drop a few names—could keep any ardent shopper satiated. If there's any room on your card upon departure, pop into Caviar Kaspia downstairs for a stiff cocktail to soothe all that buyer's remorse.
2. Base, 939 Lincoln Road; www.baseworld.com

Stacks of Mario Testino books, a stellar listening station, and the coolest wall of porcelain bull and horse heads from Mexico City gave this Lincoln Road boutique a whole lot of extra flair.
3. Alchemist, 438 Lincoln Road; www.shopalchemist.com

Don't let the spare white vibe fool you: There is so much good taste packed into this pristine shop, we had to really restrain ourselves from unleashing some major Amex urges. The most divine Rick Owens vest and an impressive selection of well-chosen indie jewelry designers (including R29 fave Pamela Love) made us wish we had an Alchemist closer to home.
