Hungary Crushes On The Magic City With Marie Claire‘s Electric-Retro Shoot

Maybe it is due to The Webster for Target, or perhaps it's due to the runaway success of Magic City. Or, maybe the fashion world's current obsession with our city is because, hey, it's summer, Miami is bright, and Art Deco never goes out of style. Whatever the reason (or, maybe even reasons), the 305 always looks stunning when snapped by a fashion photog's lens, and for this Zoltan Tombor-shot editorial, MIA's retro-infused brights appear both timeless and irrefutably now.
Featured in Marie Claire Hungary's June issue (who knew the Eastern Europeans loved us so much?), the color-rich shots pair '50s-diner glam with blocky, architectural details, set against local palm trees and aqua-hued hotels. Sherbet orange meets sky-high heels, snakeskin clutches sit alongside hot pink — the shoot is undeniably us. If this cheeky, Day-Glo vintage '50s version of Miami is our fashion reputation abroad...well, that ain't half bad.
