Chef Sam Gorenstein, My Ceviche
The first place Sam Gorenstein learned to cook was at his mother's side in her kitchen in Colombia. At 14, Gorenstein moved to Miami, where he continued his culinary practice here, Colorado, and New York City. But Sam was only 26 years old when BLT Steak asked him to head up their operations inside the Betsy. And then, he was unstoppable. Ready for this list? The young gun has two James Beard nominations, was cited as one of Forbes 30 Under 30, and was asked to be the executive chef at The Raleigh. But, Gorenstein had something fishy on his mind — literally. His new (and self-started) venture, My Cevice, is genius: Build-your-own ceviche (the unofficial snack of Miami), or just eat ocean-fresh crab claws. Or, stare dreamily at Sam. Either way, everyone wins.
