Alexis Clothing

Made popular by its ultra-femme beachwear offerings that are so beloved in Miami, the Alexis label comes from the minds of Ana Barbara and her daughter, Alexis. The duo are incredibly close and dedicated to the brand, so much so that Alexis' young daughter is the inspiration behind the emerging girls' line, Little Alexis. In case you weren't keeping track, there are three generations working on this beautiful ready-to-wear label.

How did you guys decide to work together? Tell us the story of how it happened.
Alexis: "We have always been a team. I have admired my mom's style for as long as I can remember. So who is a better partner to start a clothing line with? I think we are the dynamic duo. It began one summer when we were in the Mediterranean. We received compliments on the clothes we had made everywhere we went, so there was not doubt that it was the beginning of something huge. After all, we have always been majorly interested in fashion."

What is the best thing about working with your mother?
"No one has a better understanding of each other than she and I do. In regards to our fashion sense, our ideas are curiously in sync and therefore endless. She truly inspires me."
