The Villa By Barton G

Perhaps you come for beachside romance or to pursue a clean, crisp luxury feel. But don't forget, you are in Miami, and The Villa by Barton G is famously housed in the old Versace Mansion. The over-the-top, gilded luxury of its predecessor is still front-and-center, and while a couple of their offerings are rightfully billed as top tier, the Signature Suite is actually Gianni's old bedroom. Italian glam is in full effect here (complete with the Medusa-emblazoned pool), and the general manager says that, while you can't reserve specific suites, calling about two months in advance usually gets you the room you want. Which is, of course, Versace's.

Cost: The room is currently at $2,200, but can drop down to $1,900 for low seasons.
