Yay! Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones have a new film out, and this time they're not talking about squirmy middle-aged intimacy issues!
Streep's back in The Homesman, and while the western may not have the buzz of, say, the upcoming Into The Woods, we learned long ago that any Meryl Streep film is a film worth watching. Even if it means sitting through an excruciatingly Oprah-ish "Let's make croissants at midnight!" sequence with Steve Martin.
Since you've got some time to kill this chilly weekend, how about hiding under the covers and treating yourself to a Meryl marathon? Sure, everyone worships The Devil Wears Prada, The Iron Lady, Out of Africa, and The Hours, but what about her early stuff? What about the lesser-known work that didn't get Oscar attention? What about She-Devil, dammit?
