A Distaste For All Things Orange —Does orange sherbet really taste like perfume or is Megan just annoyed with Don’s misogyny? In this scene, she proves she isn’t afraid to be confrontational. Prior to spitting up mouthfuls of orange glop, Megan was expected to present an important pitch to a client. Instead, Don intercepted her right before the meeting and took her to a Howard Johnson so she could be his arm candy. Sure, it was research for one of Don’s work assignments, but the move showed how little he respected Megan’s work. She’s not crazy or irrational. She’s making a point to a man who usually gets whatever he wants.
