Matt Schwartz's Pretty Polaroids = Instant Attraction

Like most, we mourned Polaroid's 2008 passing. But, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, which is why upon discovery of She Hit Pause, we fell truly, madly, deeply. Showcasing the work of Brooklyn-based photographer Matt Schwartz, the e-studio (designed by Kate Shawver) is like a love-letter to the beloved camera's beautiful, blown out images. A little bit sexy, a little summery, and tremendously nostalgic, each print is like a sweet little time capsule. Most capture girls pausing in their private moments, splayed on the grass listening to records, sucking on a lollipop, or lounging on crisp white sheets like something out of a Sofia Coppola daydream. Amazingly, all the subjects are friends or people who have purchased his work, which, by the way, could be you if you're getting married (Matt does weddings). If not, all of Matt's achingly lovely work is available for purchase on his site. It's all so grainy and gorgeous—how could we not hit pause?
