How Much Should You Really Spend On This Celeb-Favorite Trend?

You know a trend has caught on when you start seeing it everywhere. But with so many options comes the question: Which one is actually Worth It? Every Tuesday, we're looking at a different fashion girl favorite and the varying price points it comes in, and letting you know — straight up — how much you should really be spending. You work hard for your money; why not put it towards pieces that matter?

Kim Kardashian. Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Teyana Taylor. These are just a handful of the celebrities who have been spotted wearing tracksuits over the past few weeks. Though it's hard for us to admit that a coordinating sweatsuit is now a must-have, on-trend outfit, it's impossible to deny that, between Champion's resurgence and Vetements dominance over the fashion industry, they are, in fact, having a moment.

Our only question is: Do we really have to spend like a Kardashian to dress like one? To find out, we rounded up a slew of coordinating sets at various price points and broke down what you're getting with each. Click on to see the different types currently on the market, as well as our verdict for which one is actually #WorthIt.

What You're Spending: $30 $21
What You're Getting: At the lowest end of the spectrum, you can get a sweatsuit for $21 on sale. We're pretty into this silhouette and on-trend Tumblr-pink color way, but it lacks the obvious logos that have made these sets so popular. Plus, we're going to out on a limb and say the quality likely isn't the best.

Boohoo Sophia Loop Back Basic Lounge Tracksuit, $30 $21, available at Boohoo.

What You're Spending: $29.98
What You're Getting: For about is this H&M option, that definitely looks and feels more expensive than it actually is. Thanks to the fabric and navy hue, we can see this being dressed up with a statement earring and heel. (It'll look just as good with sneakers at the airport, too).

H&M Tracksuit Jacket, $34.99 $14.99, available at H&M; H&M Tracksuit Joggers, $29.99 $14.99, available at H&M.

What You're Spending: $120
What You're Getting: When we start inching above the $100 mark, we start to get a that more obvious brand recognition that celebrities are particularly fond of. At the moment, you can get a matching Champion set at Urban Outfitters for $120 total, but it's so on-trend there's a chance there my be fatigue by next season. It does have a hood, though.

Champion + UO Reverse Weave Hoodie Sweatshirt, $65, available at Urban Outfitters; Champion Reverse Weave Jogger Pant, $55, available at Urban Outfitters.

What You're Spending: $155
What You're Getting:
This is practically a more expensive version of the H&M one (so if this is the style you want, we'd go for that option).

Topshop Color Block Co-ord, $155, available at Topshop.

What You're Spending: $246
What You're Getting: With fans like Eva Chen and Leandra Medine, Saks Potts is a new brand we're betting is about to make it big. Currently available exclusively on its website is this perfectly-pink sweatsuit that we bought as soon as we spotted it on Instagram. It has the trend-appeal of a Champion set, but is from a label most people won't be wearing.

Saks Potts Track Pants and Hoodie, $246, available at Saks Potts.

What You're Spending: $1,875
What You're Getting: Ah, where do we begin? Yes, this is a thing that exists. It's Vetements' collaboration with none other than Juicy Couture, and it's already also been seen on a few members (and cohorts) of the Kardashian-Jenner family. And yes, it costs nearly $2,000. Sure, it's got a fresh, more fashion-forward silhouette than the version you wore in the early-2000s (and it's definitely quite the conversation-starter), but we're not sure we can justify this price, no matter how hard we try.

Vetements Juicy Couture Embroidered Cotton-blend Velvet Tracksuit, $1,875, available at Net-A-Porter.

The Verdict: Go Indie
Since there's a lot of other things we'd rather spend $2,000 on, we're going the indie route this time around. It's not so label-obsessed where it feels like we're just jumping on a trend bandwagon, and it's not wildly expensive, either. Call us slaves to fashion, but we already added this baby to our carts.
