Approaching the release of its sophomore issue, Document Journal features one of fashion's most famous faces — one who doesn't always get the most face time. We're talking Mario Testino, the man whose sexy, raw, and striking photos have graced the pages of international fashion magazines everywhere. And, filled with some of Testino's most candid — and certainly most provocative — snaps, Document Journal has given us the first look at the photos that you won't be able to see until the spring/summer edition releases March 19.

While the pictures itself are worth at least a thousand words (and some oohs and aahs), the feature provides plenty of Testino talk, as well, with a conversation between the photographer and gallerist Sadie Coles. Naturally, they discuss his collecting habits and gallery work, but we were most intrigued by the shutterbug's eye for the glamorous and beautiful. "I was obsessed by fashion from a young age and observing what people wore and how they expressed themselves, giving a sense of who they are and what they wanted to portray," he tells Coles. "In a way it is an art but one that everyone can be attracted to, as we are exposed to it on an everyday basis." Touché, Testino.

With short-term exhibits at Prism Gallery in L.A. and Alta Moda at MATE—Asociación Mario Testino, you will have a chance to see the real deal up close. But, for everyone whose travel plans are not quite set, we got a peek at the photographer's most famous shots, as well as his personal photo collection — some never-before-seen — that include other recognizable faces such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Natalia Vodianova, Reese Witherspoon, and the late Lee Alexander McQueen. And good thing it's the weekend, because these photos are not suitable for work, folks. Heck, as gorgeous as they are, you may even want to check who's watching the home computer before you scan through. Click ahead for the entire spellbinding collection.
