June 11, Coming Up Roses
"Feeling girly, I opted for a floral and stripes look. Working with a light pink base, I made thin stripes on each nail with teal. I used nail-striping tape to achieve even, straight lines. I’d never painted rosettes on my nails and I figured I needed a bit of practice before I added them to my pointer fingers. Luckily, I had the perfect practicing canvas. After a few tests on my BF’s nails, I painted magenta rosettes on both index fingers using a nail-dotting tool and accented them with small, green leaves. A thin layer of topcoat smoothed the design and gave great shine."
