When wearing rouge, the idea is to look naturally flushed, like you’ve just been kissed. Kate Middleton seems to have missed that memo, on this occasion. Forget just been kissed: Her cheeks looks like she and Wills just came from a marathon makeout session in the ballroom.

The Fix: Bear in mind that it’s easier to add more color than it is to take excess away. However, if you find that you've applied too much blush, dust powder foundation on top to diffuse the color. If you're wearing a cream formula, dampen a sponge and dab tinted moisturizer over the blush.
