S.F. Artist (And R29 Fave!) Maja Ruznic Lands The Cover Of New American Paintings

MajaRuznik We sure do know how to make 'em in the Bay! Not only are a gaggle of our local musicians making major waves nationally, one of our favorite S.F.-based artists — and Refinery29 San Francisco subject! — Maja Ruznic, is standing directly in the spotlight this month after one of her gorgeous paintings landed her on the cover of New American Paintings!

The 2012 issue of the magazine, which will sit on newsstands baring Ruznic's painting all year round, is the result of a juried competition in which thousands of artists across the country enter their work.

One glance at the multi-dimensional artist's portfolio, however, and it's not hard to tell why the talented Potrero-based beauty won the jurors over.

A big Refinery29 congrats to Ruznic! And to those of you who want to find out more about the CCA and Berkeley grad, scoop up issue #97 of New American Paintings here and relive our "1 Girl, 4 Looks" profile on Ruznic here.
