MAC Goes Bollywood And Launches Limited-Edition, Can’t-Miss Products For Indian Skin Tones

Bollywood flicks may conjure up visions of vivid costumes, makeup, and over-the-top numbers, but since the '90s, Mickey Contractor, MAC's Director of Makeup Artistry for India, has been the main influencer of Bollywood makeup, taking it from overdone and flashy to modern and au naturel—a makeover that also scored him a new MAC collaboration. The limited-edition range includes neutral lipsticks, glosses, and an eyeshadow quad, but the talented Contractor also whipped up some pioneering products created specifically for Indian and Middle Eastern skin tones: four new shades of Select Moisturecover Concealer, three Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundations, and the double-ended Select Moisture Concealer that customizes any concealer or foundation to match your complexion and works as a pre-concealer color corrector too. Of course, Contractor honored Old Bollywood by also including some blockbuster brights: fuchsia and deep purple eyeshadows, a bold fuchsia lipstick, and two metallic Fluidline eyeliners in emerald and deep turquoise.
